QuantumDirect, Inc. Promotes Freddie Baird to Chief Operating Officer

RISMEDIA, March 7, 2007-QuantumDirect, Inc., front runner in direct marketing technology, announced the promotion of Freddie Baird to chief operating officer, adding to his current title of executive vice president. Baird is responsible for daily operations and technology process improvements for the company.

"I recognized early on that Freddie could handle many facets of the company – from customer service, printing, production to sales and marketing. He is a true leader of our organization and I am thrilled to promote him into this very important position," said Steve Damman, president and CEO of QuantumDirect.

Baird joined QuantumDirect in 1998, applying for a graphic design position; however, Damman recognized that he could play a much larger role and hired him as an operation's assistant. He quickly moved through the ranks into the executive vice president position. Baird proved that hard work, providing key tools for internal staff members and dedication to customer service, are paramount to a successful career.

"Our customer support is the greatest contributor to our long-term success. We take our support very seriously," says Baird. "The person that answers the phone has the power to make it right with that customer. As a result, people know that they can trust us," says Baird. "We view our customers as a partnership. We're helping protect their brand and their image in the Marketplace."

Some of Baird's accomplishments include implementation of the online direct mail marketing service, QuantumMail.com, and the on demand digital printing solution, QuantumPrint.com; overseeing the implementation of the new Xerox IGEN 3 print technology (making QuantumDirect Xerox's largest color customers in North America); overseeing printing and production teams that produce over six million pieces per month, overseeing customer support operations, and ensuring the growth of sales and marketing initiatives.
