RE/MAX Ranked Industry’s Best

RISMEDIA, Jan. 18, 2008-RE/MAX International is the nation’s number one real estate franchise, and the number ten franchise overall, according to Entrepreneur Magazine’s 29th Annual “Franchise 500 Survey.” RE/MAX has held the honor of the top real estate franchisor for eight of the past ten years.

The survey, which appears in this month’s edition of Entrepreneur Magazine ranks RE/MAX among the top ten in four different franchise categories. In addition to being the tenth best of all franchises, the Denver-based real estate franchisor was ranked number one in the low-cost franchise category, number seven among global franchises, and number ten in the fastest-growing franchise category.

All companies in the rankings are evaluated by the same criteria, including financial strength and stability, size, growth rate, startup costs and financing options. These and other factors are entered into the Franchise 500 formula, with each eligible company receiving a cumulative score.

The 2008 Franchise 500 Survey ranks RE/MAX 10th among all franchises. Its closest competitor in the real estate industry was ranked in the 43rd position.

That gives our franchisees more referrals and a clear edge in an increasingly competitive real estate market.”

Kelly also cited RE/MAX University as the industry’s most sophisticated educational resource, offering courses via the Internet, broadcasts into homes and offices via satellite, worldwide classroom instruction and an extensive multimedia library.

The company says that its unparalleled offerings from RE/MAX University provide RE/MAX Sales Associates a strong competitive edge with advanced designations and specialized real estate training.

In 2007, RE/MAX International was also named a Top 25 Franchise Opportunity by Hispanic Enterprise magazine, and was ranked number three among the Top 10 Military-Spouse Friendly Employers by Military Spouse magazine.

The Entrepreneur Franchise 500 Survey is the most comprehensive franchise ranking in the world. The initial survey was conducted in 1980, and it was the first ranking of franchises in the industry. Over the years, the ranking procedure has been refined to provide the most accurate formula for identifying today’s top franchises.
