Fast learner: Rather than wait three months to take the agent licensing exam, Kennedy managed to slip into the slot of a no-show at the advice of a helpful DRE staffer.

Fixer upper: Kennedy has earned a reputation for communicating the possibilities inherent in “fixers.”

Kennedy says she is as happy to represent the first-time home buyer as much as the well-heeled matron. “I come from the affordable housing community: I’m a major donor to Self Help Enterprises,” which helps farm workers build homes in the Central Valley, California. She also brought a Realtor’s voice to the policy table at recent meetings on affordable mortgage tools and the “greening” of housing. “It’s who I am,” she says.
