RISMEDIA, February 5, 2009-Trulia announced the formation of its new MLS Advisory Board. This board will work closely with Trulia to ensure that company offerings and policies continue to meet the unique marketing needs of MLS’s and their broker members. The Trulia MLS Advisory Board is also expected to play a key role as an advocate for accurate and effective representation of MLS listings across real estate search sites.

Following their inaugural meeting, the Trulia MLS Advisory Board has produced an overview of listing syndication basics and recommendations for MLS’s looking to expand their online marketing programs. The document, “A Resource Guide for MLS Listing Syndication,” is available for free download
at: www.trulia.com/MLSsyndication

According to the company, the Trulia MLS Advisory Board is comprised of some of the most experienced and respected MLS executives from across the country. Founding Advisory Board members include: Russ Bergeron (CEO, SoCal MLS); David Charron (CEO, MRIS); Kathy Condon (CEO, MLSPIN); Carl DeMusz (CEO, NORMLS); Bud Fogel (CEO, MRED); Lloyd Graves (President, RealAlliance Consulting, LLC); Jim Harrison, CEO (MLSListings, Inc); as well as Trulia representatives Sami Inkinen (COO, Trulia.com) and Mark Weiss (Director of Business Development, Trulia.com).

“A key goal of the Trulia MLS Advisory Board is to ensure MLS’s security and quality standards are met by online syndication sites,” said Jim Harrison, CEO of MLSListings. “Trulia offers a great opportunity to market member listings to a national audience of serious consumers, and the formation of this board shows their commitment to meeting the needs of MLSs.”

According to Sami Inkinen, COO of Trulia, “We’re thrilled to have so many recognized and respected industry leaders as part of the Trulia MLS Advisory Board. This group will undoubtedly impact Trulia’s policies for direct syndication feeds, as well as provide a great service to brokers and agents looking to their MLS’s for help to better market client homes online.”
