Harry Norman Realtors and Jenny Pruitt & Associates, Realtors Merge

RISMEDIA, March 31, 2009-Harry Norman Realtors® and Jenny Pruitt & Associates, Realtors® announced the merging of their two companies, making the new combined entity the residential real estate company in greater Atlanta with the largest volume sold market-share in the region.

According to the company, Harry Norman Realtors and Jenny Pruitt & Associates are owned by HomeServices of America, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, and the nation’s second largest, full-service independent residential real estate brokerage firm.

Retaining the name of Harry Norman Realtors, the two longstanding, venerable brands are joining forces to create a powerhouse, one-stop-shop in the Atlanta marketplace, with more than 1,300 real estate professionals companywide, as well as residential mortgage, title and insurance offerings. Founded in 1930, Harry Norman Realtors was the first exclusively residential firm in Atlanta and has become a real estate icon over the years.

The announcement completes a transition started last year when top management was consolidated across the two companies with Dan Parmer being named CEO, Martha Hayhurst named president and Ron Minnick named chief financial officer of both entities. All three will remain in their respective roles.
