RISMEDIA, May 19, 2009-RICS Americas, a global organization for property professionals, and ARGUS Software, one of the leading providers of solutions for managing the value of real estate investments worldwide, announced an educational partnership that will provide RICS members worldwide with discounted access to the ARGUS library of e-learning and virtual training programs.

According to the organization, the courses cover all aspects of real estate cash flow projection, transaction analysis, asset valuation, development feasibility, asset and portfolio management and other topics that are central to the practice of commercial real estate.

“Opening the ARGUS Training Library through reduced rates to the RICS worldwide membership will provide one of the most important organizations for property professionals with crucial access to the standards and solutions that banks and institutional investors trust,” said Bruce Kellogg, FRICS, MAI, senior vice president for industry relations at ARGUS Software. “This is a partnership that will not only benefit the members of RICS but will serve to lift the industry as a whole through the continued adoption of best practices and standards.”

As RICS Americas chairman Tom Justin noted, “A very high proportion of our 140,000 members globally use ARGUS solutions for various property analysis functions, including completing valuations using the discounted cash flow or capitalization methods. This program is relevant to both continuing professional development as well as new employees needing education on financial and operational analysis in commercial real estate.”
