prufla1Prudential Florida Realty announces its “Family of Services Partner,” Florida Home Finance Group, an affiliate of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (FHFG) was honored with the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Certificate of Achievement Award last month.

Kenneth Cornelius, FHFG vice president, was presented with the award at the company’s statewide managers meeting last month for achieving the No. 1 position in closed units YTD for 2009.

According to the company, the honor is in recognition of all the loans that the FHFG Home Mortgage Consultants (HMC) have successfully closed for borrowers in the low to moderate income bracket, particularly the first time homebuyer market.

“I accepted this award on behalf of the FHFG HMCs,” said Cornelius. “This also emphasizes the opportunity that exists to help so many of the first time homebuyers that are in the market today. With housing affordability at it’s highest in almost 40-years so Many minority and first time homebuyers thought they missed the opportunity to purchase a home. That opportunity has returned and the buyers are partnering with the FHFG to make it happen.”

In a related announcement, Prudential Florida Real Estate also welcomed Claudia Orrego as its newest member of the Florida Home Finance Group, an affiliate of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Team.

According to the company, Claudia has vast background in the travel industry and customer service. For 15 years she worked for two major airlines and later with two of the top cruise liners in the world, Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. In 2005, she joined the Wells Fargo family and was later promoted to regional administrator for Dade, Broward, Naples and Joint Ventures. Claudia rejoined the team with Florida Home Finance Group, an affiliate of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and says she looks forward to a bright future with the company. Claudia will be assisting Kenneth Cornelius and is based out of the Prudential Florida Real Estate Services Sales Support Center in Sunrise, Florida.
