RISMEDIA, September 2, 2009—Brian Hurley, former president of Stewart Title of California, has been named president and chief operating officer of San Diego-based New Vista Asset Management. In his new role, Hurley will run day-to-day operations for the firm and its national network of 400 multicultural real estate brokers, in addition to leading the execution of new business initiatives.

“Gary and I are thrilled about Brian joining the New Vista team,” said Jim Park, New Vista’s CEO. “His management skills and expertise in real estate operations are world class and he will definitely help New Vista raise the bar in everything it does.”

“I’m very excited about this new opportunity,” said Hurley. “Every housing industry professional feels that the current downturn is somehow different–that recovery will surely come, but that the industry itself will never be quite the same. More than just an industry-leading solution for asset management, New Vista represents a unique and compelling vision for the potential of market recovery to restore homeownership as the essence of the American Dream.”
