RISMEDIA, December 7, 2009—Liz Talbot, President of The Talbot Group, announced the appointment of Ernie Coshonis as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the firm’s nationwide relocation counseling and management services.
With his new COO responsibilities, Coshonis will direct The Talbot Group’s growth and will support its diverse corporate and institutional clientele. He will also lead The Talbot Group’s AcademicMoves© relocation program for colleges and universities. Already serving about 25 academic clients, including Johns Hopkins University, Georgia Tech and Yeshiva, AcademicMoves supports institutional recruitment objectives and personalized family needs of faculty/staff candidates.
Coshonis, of Boca Raton, Florida, has been affiliated with The Talbot Group for seven years and its Moving Services Director since 2006. Coshonis previously pioneered two innovative firms that are now under The Talbot Group banner. Formerly at MoveMasters, a household goods move management firm, Coshonis envisioned and started up his own company, Home-Team Relocation, to provide mobility services specially designed for professional athletes, teams and other sports industry clients.
Coshonis’ entrepreneurial spirit complements the company’s unconventional hands-on style. “Nine to five doesn’t exist in our world. We are always available and accessible to our clients,“ he said. Coshonis takes a high-touch approach with The Talbot Group’s customers, often dispatching his representatives to visit homes early in the relocation process or to supervise household goods packing and moving on-site.
