RISMEDIA, February 24, 2011—RISMedia announced today that the deadline for its 23rd Annual Power Broker Survey has been extended to Friday, March 4, 2011. As the industry’s leading report ranking the nation’s top brokerages, this listing of the real estate industry’s “who’s who” has long served as an important differentiator and competitive tool for real estate firms across the country. To complete the survey, please click here.

In today’s challenging real estate environment, where brokers increasingly compete for a larger piece of a shrinking pie, inclusion among the industry’s upper echelon of real estate firms in RISMedia’s 23rd Annual Power Broker Report & Survey is more important than ever. Ranking in RISMedia’s Power Broker Report serves as an important indicator of a brokerage firm’s strength and stability in its respective marketplace, a critical factor for attracting and building relationships with today’s wary real estate consumers.

“Brokers need every advantage they can get with today’s consumers who are looking for strong, knowledgeable and credible firms to help guide them through an often harrowing real estate market,” says RISMedia President & CEO John Featherston. “Being included in this ranking of America’s leading real estate firms is not just an honor—it is an invaluable part of your marketing and messaging to consumers and potential new recruits.”

Survey Criteria
Distributed through RISMedia’s multimedia information-delivery channels, the Power Broker Report is read by more than 500,000 real estate professionals and thousands of leading corporate relocation decision makers. The report is also accessible to millions of interested consumers.

To complete the survey, firms must have completed a minimum of 500 transactions in 2010. Brokerages participating in this year’s survey should note that to avoid duplication and potential confusion, the Power Broker Survey should be completed by an individual, shareholder or entity with a minimum 50.1% ownership interest inclusive of subsidiaries.

All sales and transaction volume comes directly from brokerages and is verified and substantiated by external sources, in most cases accounting firms, prior to publication.

There is no cost or any obligation to participate in this report.

The deadline for RISMedia’s receipt of your completed survey is Friday, March 4, 2011. To take the survey, click here.
