The founders of one of the most recognized real estate franchises, RE/MAX, LLC, are being honored by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® for their dedication to helping children, a dedication that has inspired more than $100 million in total contributions to the nonprofit organization.
Dave and Gail Liniger founded the now global real estate company 38 years ago and made a commitment early on to give back, according to the company. In 1992, the Linigers and RE/MAX Associates created a partnership that has been of one of the most impactful in CMN Hospitals’ history. And for that reason, the Linigers are the recipients of the 2011 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Founders Award.
“Nearly 20 years ago, we decided to align with an organization that cares about families as much as RE/MAX agents do,” says Gail Liniger. “Children’s Miracle Network was doing amazing things for sick children and their families, and we just had to be a part of it. We’re very proud of the way RE/MAX people have worked so hard for kids in their communities.”
The Linigers will be honored at the 2011 Children’s Miracle Awards on Oct. 22 in Orlando, Florida. Only five other individuals have received the award which recognizes North America’s greatest leaders, from board members to hospital CEOs to fundraising experts.
In addition, in 1992, RE/MAX launched The Miracle Home® Program, through which RE/MAX agents can make regular pledges on behalf of buyers and sellers through the sale of a home. For agents who are committed to their local communities, the value of the partnership is that 100 percent of their donations benefit their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
