This week, Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), the Mid-Atlantic Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that facilitates more than $93 million a day in real estate transactions, has unveiled its newest product—an innovative hybrid MLS mobile app powered by Smarter Agent’s patented GPS-based search results – at the Maryland Association of REALTORS® Annual Conference in Ocean City, MD.
According to the company, the MRIS Homes™ dual-purpose real estate app connects homebuyers and real estate professionals directly to Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data in the Mid-Atlantic region. Starting today, real estate professionals and consumers can search for and download the app in all app stores, including iTunes Store, Google Play Store and BlackBerry App World. An iPad version of the app is also available. In addition, a download link can be sent directly to a mobile device by simply texting “MRIS” to 87778.
“The MRIS Homes™ app is an important element of MRIS’s commitment and strategy to deliver real estate in real time. By offering real estate professionals the opportunity to immediately put to use GPS-based mobile tools and resources, MRIS customers will proactively work to manage client requirements and information needs instantly, allowing them to deliver stellar customer service,” said MRIS CMO John L. Heithaus.
MRIS Homes™ gives real estate professionals the opportunity to dramatically improve their productivity with the ability to respond to customer inquiries in real time, regardless of their location. MRIS customers can quickly and efficiently view agent-only listing information by logging in with their MRIS credentials instead of having to wait to login to their computer.
MRIS notes that consumers can also search for the most accurate, real-time listing information that is updated directly from the MRIS database every 10 minutes, a capability that distinguishes the MRIS Homes™ app from third-party listing syndicators due to their varied information sources and data refresh time.
