RISMEDIA, December 3, 2013–At GARDNER REALTORS, it’s been our continuing mission for 70 years to make home dreams come true. It’s with that in mind that we are teaming up with the New Orleans Mission to assist them in expanding the Women’s Center from 16 beds to 38 beds, and to add a full-time therapist, which will provide a safe place exclusively for women within its current facility on Baronne Street in Central City.

We are committed to launching the fundraising efforts to buy an adjacent property to expand the women’s facility and bring in more women off the streets.  We have set the goal to raise $300,000 and already have $110,000 in the bucket…but we need your help to make it to the finish line! To learn more about the New Orleans Mission and their services, visit NewOrleansMission.org.

Let’s join together to give the homeless women of New Orleans and surrounding areas a place to call home and a chance to restore their lives, whether it’s by giving your time, spreading the word, or donating financially.

To help make this possible, please donate online at www.GardnerRealtors.com/GARDNERLOVE.

Checks must be made out to: The Gertrude Gardner Foundation.
Write in the memo section of the check: New Orleans Mission, Homeless Women
Please bring or mail your check to the following address:

Our Announcement and Call to Action

At the “A New Life” luncheon, hosted by New Orleans Mission on November 5, Crystal Gertrude Gardner-Phillips shared with over 250 local members of the community and businesses the story of Gertrude Gardner, founder of GARDNER REALTORS, who’s passion for loving others and giving back, led her to start what would become one of the most successful real estate companies in the world, GARDNER REALTORS, and how her legacy of giving back to our communities carries on within the GARDNER Real Estate Family, 70 years later.

Crystal went on the say, “We encourage you to ask yourselves what we were called to ask ourselves… ‘If not us, then who?… and if not now, then when?’ There simply is no ‘they’ in this world. It’s us who God can use to make a difference. By joining together for this greater cause, we enable The New Orleans Mission to offer these hurting homeless women real hope and a chance to turn their lives around. Just like it did in our Real Estate Family through Gertrude’s many acts of love, our act of love can carry on for generations to come.”

Since 1943, GARDNER REALTORS continues our tradition of excellence as the leading full-service real estate company in the Southeast Louisiana and   Southern Mississippi Region. Given our experience and resources, we uphold this legacy by empowering our real estate professionals with the best support and services in the business, which allows us to consistently deliver outstanding service to clients. The GARDNER Real Estate Family includes over 800 real estate professionals in 24 neighborhood offices that serve over 100 communities.  Our professional services include residential and commercial sales & leasing, relocation and corporate services, asset management/REO, and property management; plus, the convenience and added value of one-stop shopping for mortgage, title and home warranty services. We are proud to be home grown, locally owned and internationally known.
