New ‘Sold Alerts’ Let Agents Promptly Tell Potential Sellers of Neighborhood Home Sales

To help real estate agents stay on top of homes sold, Top Producer® Systems, a leading developer of media and technology solutions for real estate professionals operated by Move, Inc., recently introduced “Sold Alert,” a tool that helps agents promptly notify potential sellers of a home sale near their property.

As part of Top Producer’s Market Snapshot® service, Sold Alert generates notifications within minutes of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reporting a home sale as closed.

Sold Alert provides a unique advantage to agents looking to increase listings, acting as the ideal communication tool to get and keep the attention of potential home sellers. Those considering selling a home are often highly focused on homes in their area sell for. Sold Alerts fires an alert as soon as a home is reported as sold, enabling agents to improve the dialogue with potential sellers by providing very timely and pertinent pricing information regarding sold homes.

“It’s really about the concept of nurturing with compelling content that both buyers and homeowners really want,” says Ryan Green, Director of Product Management for Move, Inc. “This type of market visibility helps to inform the consumers on their buying or selling decisions. This has the effect of making the agent the authority on real estate to the consumer and when it comes time to buy or sell their home, the agent that provides compelling information will be the one the consumer turns to.”

“We anticipate Sold Alert will add substantially to the value of Market Snapshot, because it gives agents the opportunity to be first in delivering important neighborhood home sale news and to have a more informed conversation with potential sellers about local home values,” says Michael Kane, Move’s senior vice president of software as a service (SaaS) businesses. “Having a Sold Alert pop up can be the trigger a real estate agent needs to contact a prospective home seller and, if the time is right, list their home.”

In addition to the new Sold Alert tool, Market Snapshot provides agents up-to-date reports of sales prices, average market time, and home transaction activity near a client’s home.
