Attendees at this year’s NAR Annual Conference and Expo will have a special opportunity to hear several of the nation’s most successful industry leaders break down their strategies for success at RISMedia’s 19th annual Power Broker Forum, titled, “Power Broker Strategies for Enhancing the Consumer Experience.”
RISMedia is excited to welcome back Sherry Chris, President and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, as a featured speaker for RISMedia’s Power Broker Forum this year.
Chris was appointed president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC in October of 2007. Her appointment followed Realogy’s announcement that it had entered into a 50-year agreement with Meredith Corporation, with a renewal option for another 50 years, to license the Better Homes and Gardens® name to launch a new and dynamic global residential real estate brand.
Chris has more than 30 years of real estate experience, including, significant senior management positions in the areas of sales, marketing, new technologies, and franchise management. A native of Canada, she began her real estate career in Ontario and held increasingly senior positions with Royal LePage for 16 years before taking on executive roles within notable U.S. brokerages. She joined Realogy in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.
Well-known for her innovative thinking, next-generation consumer insights and idea sharing in an effort to move the industry forward, Chris is a frequently sought-after speaker at international real estate and technology conferences. She is also recurrently featured by national media outlets such as FOX Business and CNBC for her insights into industry reports and trends.
Chris serves on the advisory boards for realtor.com® and Zillow and has been part of a number of industry and technology-related advisory boards, including Trulia and Google Real Estate. In addition, she is the vice chair of the national board of directors at the non-profit organization, Rebuilding Together and vice chair of the real estate services advisory board at NAR.
Chris has received multiple awards and honors for her contributions to the industry, including honors among the elite group of Women Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal and the 2010 Stevie Award for Best Executive in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Sherry recognizes the power of engaging with businesses and consumers through emerging media channels – making her the most followed CEO of a national real estate brand on Twitter.
Chris is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario and earned an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.
