Nearly 1,000 top RE/MAX brokers gathered in Boston for their annual Broker/Owner Conference, which had a full schedule of events with presentations from company executives and the real estate industry’s leading speakers, coaches and technology gurus.
“RE/MAX developed innovative strategies for our brokers to survive the recession and now it’s time for a new success formula in a much improved market,” said Dave Liniger, CEO, chairman of the board and co-founder of RE/MAX, LLC.
At the recent Opening General Session, Liniger stated that RE/MAX productivity remains high, the network is strong and growing stronger. When measured by residential transaction sides, nobody sells more real estate than RE/MAX. He also gave the attendees a powerful message of being resourceful in an evolving marketplace.
“This market presents tremendous opportunity, but you have to understand the forces at play to take full advantage. Use appropriate technology, but always keep your customer first and you’ll never go wrong,” Liniger added.
Some of the key topics presented at the Opening General Session include:
– Improving Market: June home sales were 9.6% above last year
– New Homebuyers/Sellers: Millennials and minorities make a big impact
– Momentum: Development and recruiting program is attracting new agents
– Ad Campaign: Camp + King selected as agency to design 2016 campaign
– Ultimate Teams Event: RE/MAX supports teams on Dec. 8 in Las Vegas
RE/MAX President Geoff Lewis told the audience that RE/MAX continues to expand around the world with the addition of three countries in 2014 and growth of over 16,000 agents in the last 10 years outside the United States. He also provided an overview of an industry project that seeks to return listing control to brokers.
“Upstream will allow you, the broker, to control your listings and ensure the data is accurate. And this is a great benefit for consumers who rely upon the accuracy of the listings they view online,” Lewis said.
