The Bravo network announced today that Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agent Roh Habibi, who works in the San Francisco Pacific Heights office, will be starring in its new television series, “Million Dollar Listing San Francisco,” debuting this July.
The San Francisco version, which will start airing July 8 at 10 p.m., is the fourth installment of the popular “Million Dollar Listing” television franchise. Bravo introduced Habibi and the rest of the cast at a special media event in Los Angeles today that included E! News, Access Hollywood, TV Guide and other entertainment news media.
Bravo Media says MDLSF will follow the lives of “three ambitious hot shot real estate agents,” including Habibi, “as they strive to outsell one another in a cutthroat market filled by young tech millionaires.
“With price points rising 34 percent in the last year, San Francisco is in the middle of a real estate revolution and these brokers-by-the-bay are listing some of the most expensive and architecturally unique properties around the country. In this town competition is steep and these agents are always rushing to find their next golden listing and billionaire client.”
Habibi says he was excited to have to opportunity to be a part of MDLSF, which he says will provide national and even international exposure for his business and his client’s listings, as well as for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in San Francisco.
“This is honestly one of those ‘once in a lifetime opportunities’ that you just can’t pass up,” he says. “More and more, buyers of luxury properties in San Francisco and Silicon Valley are coming from overseas. Being a part of the show really will give my listings that international attention that you just can’t buy.”
Habibi typifies the international diversity that the Bay Area enjoys. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, but his family fled Afghanistan for the Bay Area in the 1980s when he was growing up. An orthodox Muslim, he strives to keep a good work life balance as he juggles his career, his wife, Shugufa, and their new daughter, Zahra.
“From praying and surfing to break-dancing and putting on a power suit, Habibi eats, breathes and sleeps high-end real estate,” Bravo says in its announcement.
Habibi begin his real estate career three years ago after leaving JPMorgan, but he has been a fast-rising producer with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Last year, he placed in the top 6 percent of San Francisco REALTORS®, ranking 255th out of 4,100 agents in the city.
Other agents from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s San Francisco offices make cameo appearances on the show this season. Also joining the MDLSF cast this summer will be Justin Fichelson of Climb Real Estate in San Francisco and Andrew Greenwell of Sotheby’s Real Estate in Pleasanton.
