What to Expect When Selling a Home Subject to a Reverse Mortgage
On Thursday, April 21, The National Association of Realtors is hosting a webcast for Realtors and agents who want to learn more about listing and selling a home when the owner has a reverse mortgage. Servicing expert Leslie Flynne and NRMLA EVP Steve Irwin will answer questions live from NAR’s studio in Washington, DC. They’ll address the timelines and processes for selling the home in various scenarios such as when:
- the owner is ready to move to an assisted living facility
- the owner has passed away and their children or other heirs need to sell the home
- the owner’s children have power of attorney and are selling the property on behalf of a parent
- the owner owes more on the loan than the home is worth
