National Association of REALTORS® Installs 2017 Officers

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) recently installed its 2017 officers at its annual REALTORS® Conference & Expo, welcoming Bill Brown, a second-generation REALTOR® from Oakland, Calif., as 2017 president, as well as other officers in various positions. Brown, founder of Investment Properties, 2016 NAR president-elect and 2015 NAR first vice president, has served the industry at the local, state and national level throughout his 36-year career in real estate.

NAR also installed Elizabeth Mendenhall as 2017 NAR president-elect. Mendenhall, a REALTOR® for 20 years who currently serves on the NAR Executive Committee and Board of Directors, is CEO of RE/MAX Boone Realty in Columbia, Mo.

John Smaby, Thomas Riley, Mabél Guzmán and Kevin Sears, in addition, were installed as 2017 NAR first vice president, 2017 NAR treasurer and 2017 NAR vice presidents, respectively. Smaby, a second-generation REALTOR®, is broker at Edina Realty. Riley, who has more than 35 years of experience in real estate, is president of Riley Enterprises, Inc. Guzmán, a 20-year REALTOR®, is a broker at @properties in Chicago, Ill. Sears, also a 20-year REALTOR®, is broker/partner of Sears Real Estate.

NAR’s 2017 regional vice presidents were also installed. They are:

Jamie Diane Moore – Warwick, R.I.
(Region 1 – Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont)

Allan H. Dechert – Avalon, N.J.
(Region 2 – New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania)

Mary Dykstra – Roanoke, Va.
(Region 3 – Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia)

Ann McDonald – Winchester, Ky.
(Region 4 – Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee)

Sherri Meadows – Ocala, Fla.
(Region 5 – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands)

William G. Milliken Jr. – Ann Arbor, Mich.
(Region 6 – Michigan and Ohio)

Patrick Dalessandro – Prospect Heights, Ill.
(Region 7 – Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin)

Donald R. Marpl – Davenport, Iowa
(Region 8 – Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota)

Karen Crowson – Benton, Ark.
(Region 9 – Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma)

Leslie Rouda Smith – Plano, Texas
(Region 10 – Louisiana and Texas)

George Harvey – Telluride, Colo.
(Region 11 – Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming)

Julie DeLorenzo – Boise, Idaho
(Region 12 – Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington)

Leil Koch – Kula, Hawaii
(Region 13 – California, Hawaii and Guam)
