Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties, a brokerage leader in the mid-Hudson Valley in New York, has acquired Westwood Metes & Bounds Realty Ltd., a brokerage longtime serving Ulster County. The acquisition adds close to 60 agents and five offices, located in Kingston, New Paltz, Stone Ridge, West Hurley and Woodstock, and brings its agent count to 300 and its offices to 13. Westwood CEO and Principal Broker Harris Safier will continue on as an executive leader at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties.

“We’re excited to grow west and join forces with a wonderful brokerage such as Westwood Metes & Bounds Realty,” says Steven Domber, president and principal broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hudson Valley Properties. “The union is a terrific fit, as our companies have similar cultures and hard-working, skilled agents. We look forward to a bright future serving our extended Hudson Valley marketplace.”

“Combining forces and expertise with Steve and the Hudson Valley Properties team primes our organization for exponential growth,” says Safier, who has 41 years of experience in the local market. “The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand has strong presence in the region and it will be embraced in Ulster County.”

“Congratulations to Steve and Debbie Domber and Harris Safier on their exceptional achievement combining two powerhouse brokerages,” says Gino Blefari, CEO/president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. “Hudson Valley Properties is well-positioned for continued growth and success, and we’ll support the brokerage every step of the way.”

As part of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand, Safier’s agents receive access to the network’s Global Network Platform, a real estate tool suite that supercharges lead generation, marketing support, social media, video production/distribution and more. The brand also provides international listing syndication, relocation referrals, professional education and the exclusive Luxury Collection marketing program for high-end listings.

“Our top priorities through this transaction are to help our agents grow their businesses and continue providing an exceptional service experience for our clients,” Domber says. “Without question, we will deliver on these priorities.”
