Impressing Real Estate Buyers while On-the-Go

realtor_on_the_goImagine you interviewed a new buyer. You’ve asked all the right questions: What is your price range? How many bedrooms do you want? Are you looking for a particular neighborhood? Do you want a pool? You know – that list of questions you start every buyer off with. You’ve gathered your information, performed your searches, sent properties to your buyers, and are meeting them at the office to get started.

The day starts off great. They like the first property you’ve showed them. In fact, it could be ”the one.“ Then, on your way to the next property, your buyer spots a property, perhaps a FSBO, you hadn’t planned to show that day. As you drive by, they ask you for information on the property, since you’ve been so helpful and knowledgeable thus far.

This is a critical moment – you need to provide them with property information. If the property is listed by an agent, you could access your MLS on your phone or iPad and provide your buyers with information on the property. Perhaps you could even show it to them, if it matches their criteria. Problem solved.

However, if the property is a FSBO, it could be difficult to find the information you need. You’ll need another resource at your fingertips. This is where immediate access to exclusive listing information is critical.

Using a comprehensive dataset, like Realtors Property Resource® (RPR), gives REALTORS® access to information they would otherwise have difficulty finding. RPR offers datasets on over 160 million properties. By pulling up the property on RPR, you will get not only an idea of the property facts (beds, baths, sq. ft., etc.), but the mortgage, tax, homeowner information, historical photos of the property, and you can even see if the property is distressed.
