Trepeta, who has been working on key issues of importance to RESPRO® for almost 10 years, brings two decades of Washington experience to the association. Prior to this position, Trepeta had been the director of Real Estate Services for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) since June 2007. In 2005, he founded Equitable, an invitation-only real estate brokerage that began with two agents and rapidly grew to 275 agents in two years. In 2007, Sotheby’s offered Vatistas the exclusive rights in Arizona, which he parlayed into the purchasing of a 50-percent interest in Russ Lyon Realty, changing the name to Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.  The acquisition and growth of Russ Lyon created the largest Sotheby’s franchise in the world.  At the end of 2012, Vatistas sold Russ Lyon Sotheby’s.
