Regional Spotlight—Recently, Real Estate Digital (RED) announced it will be creating a new consumer-facing web portal for the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island, Inc. (MLSLI), one of the largest MLS organizations in the nation.
Among the best-performing consumer MLS sites according to Experian® Hitwise®, MLSLI turned to RED to enhance the user experience with improved ease of use and access to the information most important to today’s real estate buyers.
“MLSLI is partnering with RED to rebuild our consumer facing portal because there is no other real estate technology provider that better understands the importance of the consumer experience in today’s market,” says Jim Speer, vice president of operations for MLSLI. “The new site’s lead trafficking abilities will represent a tremendous benefit to our members. Depending on their individual preference, consumer leads can now go directly to the brokerage, the broker or the individual agent.”
Set to launch in the spring of 2012, the newly redesigned and RED-powered MLSLI.com will be mobile-enabled to match the needs and lifestyles of both consumers and MLSLI’s agent members. Targeted, property-specific data such as open houses—including dates and times and the ability to request more information—school and neighborhood reports will be seamlessly integrated with listing data.
“With over 19,000 MLS members and nearly 200,000 unique visitors to their website every month, MLSLI is clearly an organization at the top of its game,” said John Hensley, RED’s Chief Product and Technology Officer. “RED is looking forward to helping MLSLI and their members take their success to an even higher level by leveraging our technology. In the end, we all share the same goal: the best of all possible experience for consumers.”
