Your company has a wide array of training programs. Can you tell us a bit about those?
We have training programs designed specifically for each region, and they all have the same basic components. We offer a beginners program so new agents can understand real estate language, how mortgages work, how escrow works—all the important basics. Then we have an intermediate program, where agents can gain more interpersonal skills. After that, we offer a very advanced program specifically for luxury agents.
How do you integrate technology into your business plan?
We’ve just redone our tech platform and we have a brand new internal website called MyConnect, where agents can find every tool they need to do business, from listing presentations to customizable pages, marketing materials and more.
However, our most cutting-edge tool is our mobile app, which each agent can brand for themselves and give to their client. With the app, the client can access property information using a variety of high-tech search tools. One feature is the ability to scan the horizon with their phone, and the app will recognize their location and show them all of the nearby available properties. It’s very intuitive, very easy to use, and it’s more advanced than anything else I’ve seen.
