Actor-turned-director Emilio Estevez has quietly listed his Malibu, Calif., estate for a cool $7.8 million. The 3,731-square-foot home has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, which by Hollywood standards may seem modest; however, it sits on a nice piece of land—1.1 acres.
The Breakfast Clubber shelled out $2.2 million in April 2000 for the property with his longtime lady-friend Sonja Magdevski. After moving in, the couple planted pinot noir vines across the property and used them to produce artisanal wines under the label Casa Dumetz.
The home itself has a Spanish hacienda feel to it, with antique-looking wood floors, arched doorways, stained glass, and a plethora of hand-painted frescoes. The master bedroom contains a fireplace and backyard views via large windows and French doors on three of its four walls. The master bath contains two sinks, two stained glass windows, and white-veined green marble countertops.
Opposite the two-plus car detached garage is a separate guest quarters for visiting Brat Pack-ers or famous family to sleep off their wine consumption. After that rough day of drinking, guests can also head to the backyard to take a swim in the rectangular pool or spend some time in the attached spa. Not too shabby.
