Kevin Kelleher, president and CEO of Cartus Corp., was named Global Mobility Professional of the Year last night by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) at its gala event held in San Diego. Kelleher was honored at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort as part of the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs), the global mobility industry’s premier awards event.
Known for his keen business leadership, Kelleher has spent 37 years in the relocation industry-the past 18 of them at the helm of Cartus. His ability to spot key industry trends and then quickly capitalize on them has not only helped position Cartus as a recognized industry leader, but has also helped to raise the bar for the entire relocation industry. He also has personally given back to his community, his employees, and others in need through a variety of public and non-profit initiatives.
Among his numerous professional accomplishments, Kelleher has been instrumental in helping drive innovation in the relocation industry in a number of areas, including:
– Service Excellence: service standards and partnership
– Supplier Diversity: support of minority- and women-owned businesses
– Global Citizenship: inclusion, charitable giving, sustainability
– Ethics: highest standards of ethical business practices
– Innovation: new technologies, products, and markets
– Real Estate Leadership: market expertise
“It is incredibly humbling to be honored by one’s peers, and I have truly been blessed to work in such a great industry, to be surrounded by world-class executives, and to work with some of the most forward-thinking clients in the world,” Kelleher said.
Recognizing the need to support and guide relocating employees who are moving on their own, Kelleher pioneered an entirely new market with the establishment of Cartus’ Affinity program in 1989. As a result of this program, which packages relocation-related services for members of many national groups, Cartus has helped nearly 550,000 families buy or sell homes and has paid more than$479 million in cash-back incentives to members of its Affinity clients since the program’s inception in 1989.
As part of the EMMA awards program, Cartus was also nominated for “Thought Leadership – Best Survey of the Year”; “Best Partnership” (in conjunction with International Toyota); and Relocation Management Company of the Year.
The EMMA awards are independently judged by a panel of some of the most experienced and respected global mobility professionals from various industries and leading companies.
