Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate All Seasons announced that it will be launching a philanthropic partnership between Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate and Underdog Rescue to support animals in the Twin Cities metro area this holiday season. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is the exclusive residential real estate partner for Underdog Rescue, a nonprofit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and cats of all breeds. As part of the partnership, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate All Seasons will engage its network of 140 real estate professionals to help raise awareness of Underdog Rescue and provide the non-profit with an influx of much-needed food and supplies during this year’s donation drive.
“We’re excited to be working with Underdog Rescue for this year’s pet food drive,” says Kevin Sharkey, President of BHGRE All Seasons. “We’re big pet lovers here at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, and we believe in Underdog’s mission. We’re honored to be helping the animals in their care have happier holidays.”
The drive runs from November 16 – December 31, 2015, and both organizations welcome members of the Twin Cities community to participate. Donations can be made at two of the BHGRE All Seasons’ offices: 7615 Stone Creek Drive No. 120 in Chanhassen and/or 4600 W. 77th Street No. 100 in Edina. The donation sites will also feature photos of some of Underdog Rescue’s adoptable animals, and adoption applications will be available.
“In 2013, we spent $209,002 on veterinary care and are projected to spend significantly more in 2016,” says Shannon McKenzie, founder of Underdog Rescue. “Our ability to provide such thorough care is directly due to the support we receive from the community, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate All Seasons on this drive.”
