When Clint Hamblin heard that the famous house in Utah, a replica of the home in the movie ‘Up,’ was for sale, he knew he and his wife had to buy it. Now, the California couple is nestling into their movie themed dream home after enlisting the help of a leader in the moving and storage category, PODS.
“We were so excited when we received a call from Mr. Hamblin regarding helping him to move into the ‘Up’ replicated home,” said George Spowart, chief marketing officer of PODS Enterprises, Inc. “This definitely goes on the list of one of the most interesting moves we have ever done. We were happy to have been contacted for this unique project and are eager to make the move-in process stress-free and convenient for the Hamblins.”
Blair Bangerter, owner of Bangerter Homes and designer of the ‘Up’ home, acquired his inspiration from the film in winter of 2010 and spent his free time studying the intricate details of the home in the movie and incorporating them, along with the overriding feeling of togetherness, into a real house.
“A lot of things fell into place that directed us toward the ‘Up’ house in Utah and it has been a life-changing experience,” said Hamblin. “We plan on growing old in the house and creating memories for a very long time.”
